| An extraordinary gift of nature. 100% latex of natural origin Latex is a natural substance extracted from the Haevea brasilienis and Haevea guianensis rubber trees, a euphorbiaceous from Amazonia and Guiana, also grown in Sri Lanka, the Malayan peninsular and Indonesia. It is naturally hypoallergenic, dust-mite resistant, hygienic, antistatic, elastic and breathable. Natural latex is used to make the highest quality mattresses. One of the main features of latex mattresses is its exceptional elasticity which allows it to return to its original shape adapting to positions in sleep and affording the right support to special points such as the shoulders, hips and heels, keeping the spine straight when lying on the back or tummy. This improves blood circulation. The characteristic structure of natural open cell latex lets moisture through, keeping the body dry and preventing the formation of mildew and micro-organisms. Perfect air circulation is ensured for the ideal nocturnal microclimate, regardless of weight and climate. It is a biodegradable product: as it is sensitive to UV rays it dissolves with prolonged exposure to the sun. Latex mattresses are affected by the base they are placed on, which must be made with elastic articulated wooden slats.
